Re: Tizen UA detected as a feature phone. Expected behaviour?
Can you share an ETA for confirming this with your engineers. Based on that we would need a patch or wait for the update.

Tizen UA detected as a feature phone. Expected behaviour?
The following UA is detected as a feature phone (not smartphone). Is this expected behaviour? Tizen OS is available on modern devices as far as my knowledge goes. Can you please confirm if this is the desired behaviour. UA: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Tizen 2.4; SAMSUNG SM-Z200F) AppleWebKit/537.3 (KHTML, l...

Re: Future versions of iOS/Android gets detected as feature phone
Just like Android UA defaults to Android 4.0 when the user agent is an unknown(Android 50); shouldn't iPhone also default to some default version of iPhone (say 2, 3 or 4) instead of defaulting to apple_generic ? Even windows phone are getting defaulted to Windows 7 when version is an unknown. Besid...

Re: Future versions of iOS/Android gets detected as feature phone
I was able to get the code working. Thanks for the help. However, I had a slightly different requirement which was to override the behaviour for any version of iPhone greater than 10.0 to always be smartphone. For example: "Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 50_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/536.26 (K...

Re: Future versions of iOS/Android gets detected as feature phone
I tried using the patch_kjatin.xml you attached to the thread. However, for an unknown Android/iOS version I still get the default behaviour of smartphone being false. UA: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 13_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/601.1.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0 Mobile/13B143 Safari...

Re: Understanding why Adobe AIR 27 user-agent is detected as feature phone.

Future versions of iOS/Android gets detected as feature phone
The future versions of iOS or Android devices gets detected as feature phone with current WURFL latest version. While I understand that these versions would get correctly detected in future versions of WURFL API. I want to highlight that this would mean that we will have to pull the latest versions ...

Understanding why Adobe AIR 27 user-agent is detected as feature phone.
The user agent mentioned below is getting detected as a feature phone. However AdobeAIR 27 was released very recently (http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html) and this seems to be based on a smartphone. Can you please clarify why is this detected as a feature phone? Mozilla/5.0 (Android; U; en-US)...

Re: Defaulting to smartphone as compared to feature phone
Hi Amar, Thanks for your prompt reply. I am happy to read that you provide updates for most of the browsers before they are actually launched. However there would be cases where the lesser know browsers are not tracked rigorously for updates and understandably so. For example in the UA provided whic...

Defaulting to smartphone as compared to feature phone
Hi Team, For the following UA, WURFL library detects as a feature phone. However it is meant to be detected as a smart phone. I know that this would get fixed in the upcoming release of WURFL and understand that I could patch for the meanwhile. I wanted to know if it is possible to always detect som...
