We are getting different image (older version) using the WURFL url versus using the direct URL. Could this be a cache issue?

I am getting some errors like...
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 503 (Service Unavailable) and...
Failed to create "/u/image_cache/b4b0/cb3f/d12e/aded/5e96/8b59/e8ca/d94f": mkdir(): No space left on device.
What could cause this. Any help is appreciated.
