Re: Capability is_mobile in capability filter is not defined in WURFL

Hi Joel,

As noted in the ticket thread, the capabilities filter should only be used on static capabilities (capabilities that have hard-coded values within the WURFL.xml file). `is_mobile` is a virtual capability, so removing it from your filter should resolve the error you are seeing.

Re: Capability is_mobile in capability filter is not defined in WURFL

Hi, There hasn't been any change in the use of the is_mobile virtual capability. I was able to test your latest WURFL.xml file using API v1.9.2.0 (note: v1.9.2.1 is available in your FIle Manager) and am getting back the expected for is_mobile. Are you able to verify that your WURFLEngine is pointin...

Re: Can we make WURFL detect certain Kindle tablets as Mobil

Hi Aditya, To reiterate Amar's previous statement regarding your use case, since your device is advertised as a tablet, we can not set these devices as false for the is_tablet capability. If developers would like to create a single mobile experience for all mobile devices (tablets included) they sho...

Re: How to identify failed device detections

Hi, If you would like to identify a failed detection, you could use the advertised_browser virtual capability and if the returned value is a blank or NULL, you will know that the user agent string failed as virtual capabilities are determined through analysis of the user agent during API run-time. Hi Jim,

From what I see, we do not have an account with the username "flirtopia". Are you able to send user's email address to support@scientiamobile.com? I'll see if I can find your client's account that way and take a look at the issue.

Thanks,

Hi Jim, Thanks for reaching out. I see what you are saying and, in this case, the capabilities you will want to use are the resolution_width and resolution_height capabilities (will return 720x1280 for the provided UA). Do note that if you are using the free version of WURFL Cloud, these capabilitie...
