Re: Does PHP API use the WURFL Cloud
Hi there, The OnSite API (previously called Standalone API) is designed to have no dependencies on any Cloud component. Of course you (the programmer) are responsible for updating the database with a newer wurfl.xml file which you will find in your customer vault each week (that's assuming you are a...

Re: Java API performance issue in standalone configuration
Hi there, I will pass this to our Engineering team and see what they have to say, albeit I am not sure that we can do something about the limitations that have been introduced for Java applications by whoever manages your virtual hosts. BTW, in case we need it, can you provide access to one of the v...

Re: WURFLManagerBuilder.Build takes too long to run @app_sta
Thank you for your message. I will pass this feedback to the .NET engineering team, but let me tell you that something isn't right here. The start-up should only happen in a matter of seconds, not minutes. Can you provide more info about what you are doing that may be different from other standard c...

Going commercial is not the end of the world.
WURFL has value because a team of people behind it is maintaining it on a regular basis.

Re: Not picking up Nexus 5 as a device etc...
I hope you realize that when you say "freely available", the AGPL license demands that you open soruce the complete code base of your application. In fact, from a licensing perspective, there is no difference between API 1.4 and API 1.5 Edit: As of 7/25/2016 ScientiaMobile no longer uses AGPL or any...

Re: Wurfl Cloud Client - Where to get artifacts using Maven
We don't use Maven for dependencies of the Cloud Client. I'll discuss this with the engineers.
The JAR file you are looking for is in the "doc" sub-directory, which is a rather stupid place, we have to confess. We will fix this
Thanks

Re: unrecognized devices
Can you tell us what the Carrier is? is it MetroPCS?
Also, we are not observing the same UAs from anywhere else.
feel free to email us at wurfldb#scientiamobile.com with more info.

Re: unrecognized devices
Thank you for your message. We will need to analyze this and so some cross checking, but my first impression is that something is seriously wrong with this UAs. Can you confirm that they come from a single carrier? some of these UAs smell MetroPCS (a US carrier), but still different enough that I su...
