Re: Chrome browser being incorrectly classified as Logitech
Can you post your use of the SpringWURFLManager? we will assist you in the use of the 1.3.6 API. 1.3.6 was one step on the way to quite a few changes (including simplification of the objects needed by the API) and we rushed it because of the FF10 problem. Our engineers are working on an example pack...

Re: WURLF.Matchers.NokiaMatcher NullReferenceException
Hey Logyboy, we released version 1.3.6 of the API yesterday: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wurfl/files/WURFL%20Java%20API/1.3.6/ (it was not in the plans, but needed to fix an FF10 emergency). Can you install this version and report? If you still have the problem, please send any information that ...

Re: Firefox 10 detected as mobile device
Everyone interested by the Firefox issue can download version 1.3.6 of the API from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wurfl/files/WURFL%20Java%20API/1.3.6/ For the record, this is an unscheduled release on the way to 1.4, so, while unlikely, there may be issues in migrating from 1.3. In that cas...

Re: New capability required: Detect HTML5 support (for url i
We are reviewing which capabilities to add in the future. And having more attention to HTML5 is considered. Of course, there are some challenges, but now that we are a company we can certainly look at them in the face :) Helping WURFL users optimizing the user-experience is certainly one great usage...

Re: Samsung GT-I9100 "Desktop view mode" gets detected wrong
Hi there, can you please post the offending UA string?
Anyway, version 1.4 of the API (to be released shortly) totally redesigns the Android Matcher and I suspect this will improve things.
Thank you
Luca

Re: Desktop browsers being detected as Generic (.NET)
Can you please post the configuration?
recent update to the .NET API temporarily fixes this (generic_web_browser). If you hold your breath a few weeks (1.4), we will have a brand new approach to desktop browser detection
Thanks

Re: Safari on Max OS X
Patdec, before you put the new Tera-WURFl in production, please be aware of the licensing change.
If you use it commercially, you want to pay attention to this.

You got it. Coincidentally we had added this tablet yesterday, but we had version 3.2. We reorganized a bit to make space for 3.1 too

it's already there. It will be available with the next public snapshot for paying customers and in the next public release for everyone else. If you can't wait, just add this manually to your WURFL.xml <device id="apple_ipod_touch_ver5" user_agent="Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X)...

Re: User Agent information
It's very simple. You are asking the API to return the UA string associated to the device that was matched, not the one that came with the original HTTP request of course, when the API cannot find a direct match, specialized logic will kick on and identify a generic device that is as close as possib...
