Re: API returns different result from test query on website
My previous post seems to have disappeared for me, but it seems you're right. When I input the UA string directly into the hash I'm sending the Cloud returns the correct result. However when I take the input from a parameter in the browser, it fails, even though it's being escaped correctly. Needle...

Re: API returns different result from test query on website
Would it be possible to see your code? Are you sure that the UA string isn't being modified in any way?
thanks

Re: Explicit device list with realtime streaming features
Hi there, can you expand a bit on what you mean by 'real time streaming''? most modern (and also less modern) devices support streaming in one way or another through a variety of protocols (RTSP, HLS,...) and there are WURFL properties for that (look at the 'streaming' group capabilities for example...

Would it make sense for us to model it as a generic mobile device? should we assume it's a smartphone of some kind?

Re: Matching Voxtel_BD40
Normally, URLs are not used as user-agents. The fact that this has happened in a couple of cases is confusing WURFL. Can you tell us what comes with this user-agent? Anyway, a quick fix is probably adding the UA in a patch file. We might add it to the big WURFL too if you tell us more about the natu...

I want to buy Lighttpd Infuze licence but i am not sure do you have lighttp module? Hi, we have evaluated the possibility to create a WURFL module for lighttpd and determined that it is not too hard. If you are still interested, can you please get in contact with us through our license inquire page...

Latest update offered commercially behaves correctly:

We may release a public snapshot at some point and that snapshot may or may not resolve this issue.
btw, have you considered our Cloud offering?
Thanks

Re: file_get_contents():failed to open stream
Claire, we are not sure what the guys at thesedays.com are doing nor do we understand the legitimacy of the service they have set up with our software. One thing is for sure, while they are using Tera-WURFL, it is not a service that we are managing. If you are interested in using WURFL in the Cloud,...

Re: How to correctly identify unrecognized useragent
Hi, Thanks for your answer ... it is more about how to auto detect this situation. If our service is running realtime and someone accesses our website with a new device that has an unknown useragent ... I would rather have our system identify the device as unknown than falsely categorize it based o...

Re: Automatically updating commercial WURFL file
How do users that do not hold a commercial licence get access to an updated WURFL file? They can use our Cloud solution http://www.scientiamobile.com/cloud If you are talking about the wurfl.xml for OnSIte/Standalone API installation, the answer is they are not allowed to . This is a feature we res...

is_tablet and ux_full_desktop are also your friends. Pretty much all tablets have double orientation, so telling actual width out of HTTP inspection is impossible. Responsive Web Design, with Server-Side optimization may be an option you want to explore for Desktop+Tablet: http://www.scientiamobile....

Re: Licensing and the XML file
The proper way to do this for your project is to include the AGPL API, while making it absolutely clear in the README file that one of the components (WURFL) comes with the AGPL v3 license and users of the plugin are legally required to open source the complete code base of their full application. F...

Re: Licensing and the XML file
The public WURFL XML snapshot can be used legally with our AGPL API. And it is correct to say that GPL v3 and AGPL v3 are compatible. What may not be so clear is that those who use the plugin are also binding themselves to AGPL, so we can legally demand that they open-source their complete code base...
