I am occasionally seeing the following error in my web site's error log:
System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any ideas?

Re: Error in WURFL.Matchers.NokiaMatcher.CanMatch
Do you have the User Agent from this request?
Do all the errors stem from the NokiaMatcher, as seen on line 2?

Re: Error in WURFL.Matchers.NokiaMatcher.CanMatch
It is always the Nokia matcher.
I have taken a look at our IIS log to match up the entries there with our application log. Here are some of the requests:
2012-01-18 00:32:39 10.101.5.102 GET /courts/practicedirections/display.aspx url=http://www.copapedrodevaldivia.cl/webal ... utos/a.txt? 80 - 200.98.142.97 - 302 0 0
2012-01-18 06:48:24 10.101.5.102 GET /default.aspx - 80 - 62.105.97.101 - 302 0 0
2012-01-18 06:48:41 10.101.5.102 GET /ServerError.aspx aspxerrorpath=/default.aspx 80 - 62.105.97.101 - 500 0 0
2012-01-18 11:25:20 10.101.5.102 GET /Images/SearchNow_Clicked.png - 80 - 212.9.29.136 - 200 0 0
So in each case, there is no user agent in the request. Presumably these requests are being generated by a bot.

Re: Error in WURFL.Matchers.NokiaMatcher.CanMatch
I see. We should be able to reproduce this and get it fixed ASAP. I have certainly seen traffic in the wild where there is no User-Agent field in the HTTP Request at all, and this might be what's causing the NullReferenceException.

Re: Error in WURFL.Matchers.NokiaMatcher.CanMatch
I am seeing these types of error messages too, mainly from the NokiaMatcher.
Re: Error in WURFL.Matchers.NokiaMatcher.CanMatch
Hi,
I'll have the .NET team look into the problem to see if it still exists. Meanwhile, can you tell me which version of the DLL you are using?
