IE 11 not detected correctly

We're using the cloud service.
When passing in an ie 11 useragent string, e.g. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/7.0; EIE11;ENGBWOL; rv:11.0)
The advertised_device_os capability is unknown.

Will this be fixed soon?
Thanks

Hi uci2i,

Thanks for the heads-up! The issue has been identified and will be fixed in an update to the WURFL API. If you'd like, I can notify you when the WURFL Cloud is updated with the fix.

Thanks and cheers!

Yes, this will be pushed to the Cloud service around the same date (possibly earlier than the public release).

Hi Kamermans,

Could I also be notified when you roll out the detection support for IE11 on Windows 8.

We need to implement it on our web service asap.

Thanks,
Renato

Has this been pushed to the cloud? I got a newsletter about new Virtual Capabilities in API 1.5 and thought the IE11 fix was rolled out on the cloud too.

Hi,
Has this been pushed to the cloud?
Not yet. We will keep you updated, as promised, when the WURFL Cloud is updated.

We made a blogpost a while ago about the Virtual Capabilities in API 1.5. I'm not sure if you are referencing that.

Cheers!

Any news on the IE11 detection support on the cloud? Seems that more and more respondents are using IE11 and we can't properly detect them.

Hi Renato,

The standalone WURFL API v1.5.1 is slated to be released early next month. We will then roll the API update to the WURFL Cloud. We will definitely keep you in the loop regarding this.

Thanks and cheers!

We don't have an exact release date set at the moment, but will be releasing WURFL API v1.5.1 very soon. We can certainly notify you when it is available for download as well.

Thank you,

Elliot

Thanks Elliot.
We don't need a download as we're using the cloud solution. I hope that's rolled out at the same time.

We are very close to releasing API 1.5.1 at the moment and you are correct, as we will be updating the cloud solution along with the release of the new API.
