Kindle Fire Silk mode user Agent's property "is_wireless_device" returns false.
Is this is issue because this ua is too similar to Mac's OS X Safari user agent as described in the other post http://www.scientiamobile.com/forum/vie ... ?f=16&t=95? Any hopes this could be fixed in the near future or should I be patching this?
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_3; en-us; Silk/1.1.0-80) AppleWebKit/533.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/533.16 Silk-Accelerated=true
Thanks!
Kindle Fire Silk mode - is wireless property
Re: Kindle Fire Silk mode - is wireless property
Indeed - this is the same problem, but we have added the mobile-view Silk user agents, and we are adding full support for Kindle Fire detection in our API update (within the coming weeks) for all APIs.
It should be noted that the UA you posted is from the Kindle Fire when the browser settings are set to "Mobile View = Off", which is why the device is sending a desktop UA.
