Possible Bug: High CPU usage

Postby bughunt » Sun Jun 01, 2014 10:28 am

Hello. I currently noticed that some java script coming from http://wurfljs.com/ is causing problems for me from an end-user perspective. I don't know if this has to do with the service itself or the implementation but I still wanted to share it.

For me the effected webiste is: http://www.gamestar.de/ which includes an avdertisment (for the videogame "Wildstar") delivered by doubleclick.net. When the website is opened and the ad loaded one or more CPU cores jump up to 100% usage. Disabling javascripts from one of those websites fixes the problem. Just disabling wurfljs.com does the job too.

The bug is not introduced by other addons, I checked that with safe-mode. I can reproduce it by allowing/disallowing wurfljs.com with 100% certainty.

Hard/software used: Linux Mint 17, Firefox 29, Intel i5 540M, OpenJRE 7

Hi there, we have never heard of this problem. To add to that, wurfl.js returns virtually no javascript, just the JSon object (only exception iOS where some magic is done to recognize the actual device, which is not dicoverable through inspection of HTTP headers alone).

At which email address can we contact you? alternatively, please write to support @ scientiamobile.com. We will make sure that you and the engineers are in direct content to get to the end of this. (the email you have signed up with seems like a disaposable emaill address)

Thanks
