LG C900K OPTIMUS win7 mobile

Postby ajohn_ben » Mon Mar 19, 2012 6:33 pm

Hi,

This mobile device is incorrectly detected or not included in the user agent list.

Please add this device.

I am using the 1.4 version of the WURFL API.

Thank you.

Are you sure?

this device has been in WURFL for quite some time:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; LG; LG-C900k)

https://db.scientiamobile.com/device/show/28768

I also checked with API 1.4 and I am seeing this match:

'id' => 'lg_c900_ver1_subk',
'user_agent' => 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; LG; LG-C900k)',
'fall_back' => 'lg_c900_ver1',

Hi Luca,

Actually we did and we paid for the licence. I work for Griffith University in Australia. It may be in WURFL, but how come it's being detected as a desktop?

I think there are a couple of c900K model or maybe more such as the OPTIMUS and Quantum.

Thank you for your response.

Hi John,

Unfortunately, without the user agent we are just guessing. There are two things that might be happening. First, the device could have been upgraded to Windows Phone 7.5 and the device is not in the DB yet (this is unlikely, since you said the result was a desktop browser); or second, the device's browser could be in desktop mode, although version 1.4 has logic for this as well, so it's hard to say what the problem is.
Thanks,

Hi Steve,

The user agent is the same as what Luca posted - 'Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; LG; LG-C900k)'

Other mobile devices are correctly detected but not this one. So I don't know what's going on.

Thanks.

I see you are using the PHP API. We just finished updating that API to v1.4-RC1 today. I can send it to you in our morning if you'd like. This will solve your problem.
