Is it possible to use WURFL as part of Hadoop environment? Are there any examples of this?

We cannot point to any example, but we really don't see any complexity in this. You may want to install an instance of the WURFL API on each node.

The only complexity might come from the fact that, for each node, you only want to instantiate the WURFL API once, but that obstacle can be easily overcome...
